Several weeks ago we went and had a 3D/4D sonogram. The technology today is absolutely crazy. It blows my mind that we are able to see her so clearly at only 29 weeks. It's probably not something we will do with any other kids in the future, but it's something we really wanted to do with our first. I'm so glad we did. It was such a neat experience. It made it all a little more real.
She was very quick to show that she's a girl. I was very glad to see that. :) I've had a small fear that she's going to come out as a boy. If that's the case, he's going to be a boy that wears bows and tutus. :) Fortunately, we're just about as positive as we can be that it's a girl.
We had it done at Visions of Love in Denton. The lady was amazing. She got a ton of pictures and also put the entire session on a DVD for us. It's something that we will treasure forever. Here are a few of the pictures.
I know some people are really weirded out by the 4D pictures. They are a little weird to me, but they are still so special. She actually looks real. Like our own sweet little baby. Some of the pictures were kind of scary because she looks deformed. However, there were other pictures of the same areas that were normal. :) Keep in mind that at the time of the sonogram, she still had 11 more weeks to develop.
We we're really able to figure out who she looks like...except for her nose. She has my nose, without a doubt. I've always hated my nose because I think it looks like a pig nose...but I like it a little more now that she's got it. :) [My sophomore year in high school my stepdad referred to me as Miss Piggy and I've been scarred ever since.]
No surprises here. :)
She has hair! At least that's what the sonographer said. We're praying for curls like her dad.
Sweet Profile
I love her lips! And her sweet nose.
Deep in Thought
I love this one because her sweet hands are curled up.
Sweet Fingers
We carefully counted all ten fingers, ten toes, two ears, and all other necessary parts. :) God has made this sweet little girl absolutely perfect. I am counting down the days until we can see her in person and love on her.
Thank you, Lord!
