I debated for a while whether or not I wanted to have maternity pictures taken. I was leaning towards no because I always hate pictures of myself. Always. So I hesitated to pay someone to take pictures that I knew I probably wasn't going to like. On the other hand, I really wanted to have this time in our lives documented [professionally]. The other hand won. We ended up having pictures taken at a beautiful park in Highland Park. It just so happened that Troy Aikman lived one street over from where we were. He was actually out running during our session and ran by us a few times.
I debated forever for hours upon hours about what to wear. I ended up being happy with 2 out of the 3 outfits I chose. One of them, the pink shirt was way too big--I'm super disappointed I wore it. I look like a goof in all the pictures where I'm wearing it. However, there's nothing I can do about it now.
For those of you who know Danny, you know his sense of style is rather bland (Sorry, D). He doesn't wear many colors or patterns. We're working on that. :) Needless to say, the bright pink shirt he wore in the pictures...that took some convincing. There's a chance that shirt might never get worn again...except maybe when she's born. We're (I'm) trying to get him to branch out a little.
Anyway, here's what we ended up with. Who knows if we'll ever do anything with any of the pictures...but at least we have them to use if we do decide to put some up. I'm just excited that I don't have to be in any more pictures. The rest of the professional pictures will feature sweet Harper Grace by herself. :)
