1) After the Christmas break, I was excited to get to tell my kiddos about the baby. I didn't want to just come out and say it...I wanted them to have to figure it out. So we played hangman. It actually took them quite a while to get it. I guess they weren't expecting the news either. :) Right after they found out, one of the little girls asked, "Mrs. Moore, how did you do that? How are you having a baby?!" I answered with, "I'm sure your mom would love to answer that, ask her." I supposed that's a science lesson we don't cover in 3rd grade, thank you Lord.
2) The first couple times we went to the doctor, I recorded the heartbeat on my phone. I'm so glad I did this. I find myself listening to it quite often...it's so amazing to me that something SO tiny can have such a strong heartbeat. I've been trying to upload the file, but Blogger doesn't like it...maybe I'll figure it out eventually.
My mom, who is one of the most creative people I've ever met, decided to do something special with the heartbeat. She went to Build-A-Bear and got a bears made for Danny and I, Mimi, Lexi, my Grandparents, and both sets of Danny's parents. The best part was that she recorded the heartbeat on the sound recorder inside each of the bears. She bought tiny little onesies at The Children's Place that say "My First Christmas" and then little Santa hats that say "Baby's First Christmas". It was such a special surprise. My mom never continues to amaze me. She is the most thoughtful, genuine woman I've ever met. Thank you, Mom, for making this time SO special for so many people. :) The bear is something that we will cherish forever.
3) At the beginning of January I had my 11 week appointment with Dr. Riegel. I can't get over how much he/she has changed in just two weeks. It's so amazing to me.

Thank you, Jesus, for all the necessary parts! Our next appointment is January 31. :)
