We finally were able to decide on a name. We went back and forth for a while and struggled to make a final decision, but now, it's done!
As I've mentioned before, Danny isn't the fastest decision-maker. He wanted to "throw a few names around" for a while, and then eventually choose the one we liked the best. I'm pretty much on the opposite end of that...I wanted to pick a name the day we found out it was a girl. We ended up compromising and choosing a name about a week ago.
We had a couple names we loved, but kept going back to the first one we added to the "list." I never realized how difficult it can be to name a child. It was a little overwhelming to think about the fact that once we name her, that's her name forever.
There were several names we liked, but didn't like how they sounded with Moore as a last name.
So after much deliberation, our sweet little girl will be named...
Harper Grace.
I'm in love. Danny is too. Now he only refers to the baby as "Little Harper" or "Baby Harper." I love hearing him say that. It's a really strange feeling actually being able to refer to her as "Harper" and not just, "the baby."
I've always loved "Grace" for a middle name. I love the meaning. Our pastor always preaches on grace, and it gets me every time. I love the thought of our daughter having such a meaningful middle name. I can't wait until we can explain to her just how special it is and what it actually means.
We also ordered our bedding and furniture this weekend. I had originally found bedding that I absolutely loved. I had the room completely done in my head. It looked amazing. Keep in mind, I had only seen the bedding online. But man, did it look absolutely beautiful online. So as we were out looking at furniture, I happened to notice the bedding. The perfect bedding.
I got all excited and started jumping up and down saying, "Here it is! That's it!" And then as we walked over to it...it was hideous. I hated it. It was terrible. That might sound a little over-dramatic...but I truly despised it. I was so glad I hadn't ordered it.
So of course, before we were even home from shopping for furniture, I was on my phone looking for the next "perfect" bedding. After a couple of hours, I had finally found what I wanted. Danny even liked it too. That night we went to dinner with my grandparents and my grandma saw the bedding, agreed that it was beautiful, and bought it. I had seen this bedding several weeks before and had loved it, so I figured it was a done deal. It was meant to be because I happened to find it again. Fate, if you will. :)
When I saw the box on our front porch as I drove up, I was SO excited to see the bedding in person. I couldn't wait. Again, I had the room all planned out in my head. I opened the box...and was so disappointed. Online it was a lime green and lavender paisley. In person, the colors were extremely pale and there was a lovely--puke brown all throughout the paisley. The lovely brown wasn't apparent online. Awesome.
Fortunately, I called the company we ordered it from and they offered no hassle, free returns. Thank goodness. Needless to say, it was shipped back the next day...and I was off searching once again, for the perfect bedding.
Well finally...we found it. It's absolutely perfect--and yes, we've seen it in person. Danny loves it too. I think it's been his favorite all along. He keeps talking about how beautiful "Little Harper" is going to look laying in the middle of it. :) I can't tell you what it does to my heart to hear him say things like that.
Here's a picture of the room--it's off a website, so of course, the room is perfect and completely set up. We didn't order all the extra pieces...just the 4 piece crib set. But, you get the point. Now that we've found this bedding, I'm not quite sure what I was thinking before. The bedding we liked first (and second) was not my taste at all. It's strange how things work themselves out.

I'm in LOVE with the bright colors. I love the contrast between the black and gray with all the other colors. it makes me SO happy. I can't wait to have the room painted and decorated. I have so many ideas of what I want to do to the room...we'll see how it actually plays out. I'm so excited to start getting the room together. Painting will be the first of many projects in that room. Still debating on the colors to use. Thoughts?
I want to put up a white chair rail, then paint a solid color on the top portion of the walls and then some type of pattern, probably stripes, on the bottom. Just trying to make a decision on the colors.
We're also in the process of looking for a black chandelier. Nothing too fancy or expensive...just pretty and girly looking. :) It doesn't necessarily need to have working lights on it--it wont serve as the light source...it's mainly for decoration.
Here's a picture of the actual crib, not the bedding. This is just the bedding they had on display at the store. I'm obsessed with the curves on the crib. The dresser and nightstand have the same curves.
Here's the bedding inside the crib. Ignore the mobile.
Needless to say, we're both SO excited. Danny talks continuously about getting the room together and how he can't wait to have all the furniture set up, room painted...and a baby in the crib. Yikes! I'm so thankful for a husband who is excited about getting everything together.
I'm pretty positive he's already wrapped around her sweet little finger (all of which are full size by now.)
For Valentine's Day I asked him if he would be my Valentine one last time because I'm pretty sure that this time next year, there's going to be a precious little girl who has stolen his heart.
